See smaller Royal Oaks Community’s 15th annual Fourth of July Parade was bigger and better than before. This year’s event was very patriotic and festive. The parade was led by Grand Marshall Chip Wood, the only student in Tennessee selected by the Governor to have a seat on the 2010-11 state boards of education.

  • Sam and Brody Pankratz caught their first shark off the pier at Daytona Beach Shores while on vacation with their grandparents, Jack and Judy Humphreys. They are the sons of Jason and Beth Pankratz.

  • The ladies group Prisilla Cirlce at First Christian Church celebrated Christmas with the annual party and secret sister gift exchange.   • Pellissippi State Community College received a 2010 Governor’s Environmental Stewardship Award on June 24 in Franklin.
