  • This group were neighbors 50 years ago and have been attending regular reunions every other year. They are called the Blount Hills Neighbors’ Day. The reunion is held at the home of Linda and Richard Cramer.   • At the 10th Anniversary of the chartering of the Ellen Renshaw House #2624 UDC chapter members of the General James Longstreet Chapter 984 Children of the Confederacy (CofC) presented a CofC membership certificate to Clara Smith for her great grand son, Graham Michael Ryckman. Graham, who lives in Ohio, joined on the service of his GGGGG Uncle, Captain Amos Marshall Hardin, who enlisted in Knoxville in 1862 and served as a member of Co. B, 63rd TN Infantry.   • Mrs. Stedina’s kindergarten class won the coupon book challenge at Ft. Craig Elementary. The “Enjoy the City” coupon books are different than ones sold at other schools. They include discounts for recreation, dining and other services throughout Blount County as well as Knoxville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Atlanta.
