  • Sydney Rud, granddaughter of Jeff and Kathy Jensen, plays her papa’s piano.
  • Alison Morris donated her hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths to make a wig for cancer patients. Her hair was cut by her grandma, Pat DeLeonardis, and Annette Manley at Linda’s Salon & Spa.
  • Cale Bright, 9, got to go back stage during the Foothills Fall Festival and meet Colt Ford.
  • Cole Freeman and Gracie Hitson tied for the top sellers of Blount County Coupon books for Lanier Elementary School. Cole’s class was also No. 1 in top selling classrooms.
  • Members of the Mary Blount DAR and Elizabeth Paxton Houston Society Children of the American Revolution were joined by other DAR and SAR members on Sept. 21 on the grounds of the Blount County Court House. Members were there to celebrate a bell ringing in honor of the 223rd anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution. Constitution Week was Sept. 17-24, and a proclamation commemorating it was signed by the Mayors of Blount County, Alcoa and Maryville.
