  • At the October meeting of the Captain Thomas Carter Chapter, Colonial Dames 17th Century, Terry Faulkner spoke on the research that she and her husband, Dr. Charlie Faulkner, have done to determine the exact location of Fort Sanders.   • The 3rd Annual Brunch for new and prospective members of the Mary Blount DAR chapter was held in August at the home of Regent Lynda Williams.  Chapter officers answered questions and described the community service and patriotic projects of the chapter as well as the activities of the Elizabeth Paxton Houston Society Children of the American Revolution and the varied contests open to children from grades K-12.   • The Kroger on Watkins Road sold hamburgers and hot dogs and raised $970 for United Way.
