  • Tuckaleechee Garden Club members Florence Byrd and Charlotte Miller awarded the September Yard of the Month to Mildred Taylor of Walland. Mrs. Taylor is pictured in front of a bank of knockout roses which she regularly trims. The front lawn slopes down to the road and features a variety of cannas, hostas, flowering trees and vines as well as seasonal flowers.
