The January meeting of the Captain Thomas Carter Chapter, Colonial Dames 17th Century, held at the Orangery in Knoxville, featured members explaining how to research and document a colonial ancestor’s Coat of Arms. Presenting the program and demonstrating their Coat of Arms were, from left, Madge Day, Jeanette Williams, President Shirley Hall and Debra Wilson. Williams and Wilson also wore the plaids of one of their ancestors whose coat of arms they have documented.
