President Elaine Russell and Registrar Debra Wilson, members of the Capt. W.Y.C. Hannum Chapter 1881 of the Daughters of the Confederacy, Maryville, TN, were on the road again in search of Confederate Ancestors and to honor their Southern Heritage. Their travels took them to the Georgia Archives in Morrow, Ga.; the Heard County Historical Center and Museum in Franklin County, Ga.; a visit with UDC members of the Admiral Semmes Chapter 57 in Auburn, Ala.; the Alabama Archives in Montgomery, and finally to the library at Samford University in Birmingham. While in Montgomery the travelers also visited the 1st White House of the Confederacy, Oakwood Cemetery and the gravesite of singer, Hank Williams.
