  • The Tuckaleechee Garden Club awarded the May Yard of the Month to Richard and Melody Stafford of Townsend. The yard has a multitude of roses, peonies, and hydrangeas in bloom, artistically arranged and accented with garden statuary, bird baths, and benches. Members of the society are direct descendants of one of the Sureties for the Magna Charta or from a Baron, Prelate, Knight or other influential person present on the field of Runnemede in June 1215.
