  • Five siblings of the Truman and Gertrude Blevins Best family recently celebrated those who were 80 years old and above.   • The Smoky Mountain Hotshots participated in the 2011 National Summer Senior Games in Texas in June. They finished with a silver medal and a record of 6-3.   • The State Society Daughters of Colonial Wars held the annual field trip meeting at Townsend in June.
