  • Stephanie Paige Vickers of Los Angeles, daughter of Jerry and Joelene Vickers of Huntsville, Ala., was united in marriage with Clayton Robert Humphrey of Los Angeles, son of Charles and Judith Humphrey of Maryville, The wedding was May 21 at Huntsville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Lewis Bunn, uncle of the bride, officiated. After a wedding trip to Savannah, Ga., the couple are living in Los Angeles. The bride is an actress/talent coordinator and writer. The bridegroom is a writer/film maker.
  • Bethany Diane Trent of Maryville, daughter of Curtis and Rosemary Trent, was married to Robert Alex Spelce of Maryville, son of Debbie and Tom Spelce, on April 30 at the home of George and Karen Helton. The bride is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and is employed at Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance. The groom is also a graduate of MTSU and is employed at The Rush Fitness.
  • Father Ragan Schriver, executive director of Catholic Charities of East Tennessee, recently delivered the Baccalaureate speech to the 2011 graduating class of Maryville College. Titled “Any Further Questions?” Father Ragan compared the students’ imminent entry into “real life” with the feeling of anticipation one experiences as a class or lecture is drawing to a close. Just as freedom is at hand, someone has “just one more question.” Father Schriver is pictured here with Maryville College campus minister, the Reverend Anne McKee.
