Both graduates received their GED diploma with assistance from East Tennessee PBS’ GED Connection Program. The nonprofit television station provides participants with a set of study books at no cost to the individual and broadcasts weekly 30-minute shows that consist of documentary-style programs to help viewers prepare for the GED exam.

  • Chris Clark and Melanie Shepherd, created this Snow T. It was about 9 feet tall and colored with Kool-aid and Sunny D.
  • Somer and Savannah Gray built this authentic igloo entirely of snow and found it to be very warm. They did their project in the front yard of their home on 1-11-11. Somer, 12, goes to Maryville Middle, and Savannah, 11, is a student at Maryville Intermediate. They are the daughters of Scott and Nicole Gray.
