  • Sammy Pero, Cameron Thomas and Zac Fox participate in the Battle at Fort Dickerson in Knoxville. They are all members of the Sam Davis Chapter of the Children of the Confederacy. Cameron is chapter president, and he is 2nd vice president of the state division. Sammy is a chapter officer.
  • Carolyn Trentham and Scott Hinds stop for a photo at the Foothills Fall Festival last October. Scott is a member of the band Pistol Creek Catch of the Day.
  • Several members of the Mary Blount DAR visited with Grayce Cabage on her 90th Birthday on Dec. 17. Grayce is a past regent of the chapter and has served in many other roles during her long membership of the chapter. Pictured are Lynda Williams, Charlotte Miller, Grayce Cabage, Miller Peters, Debra Wilson and Elaine Russell.
  • Best friends Jack and Harley curl up on the couch for a nap. They are the dogs of Steve and Tessa Wildsmith.

  • Members of the Captain W.Y.C. Hannum UDC and the General James Longstreet CofC placed a wreath at the Confederate Memorial Monument in Bethel Cemetery in Knoxville on Dec. 5. This monument is the tallest CSA monument in Tennessee and was dedicated by the Ladies Memorial Association in 1892 to memorialize the 1600 soldiers buried at the site. After placing the wreath, the group enjoyed a candlelight tour of the historic Mabry-Hazen House nearby. Pictured in front are Ralph Hall, Charlotte Miller, Florence Byrd, Shirley Hall, Debra Wilson, Elaine Russell, Millie Peters and Tom Miller. In back are Ron Byrd, Ginger Pierce, Vicky Moya, Cheyenne Miller and Tyler Martin.
  • This group enjoyed a cruise about the Carnival Triump in September. They visited Portland, Maine; Boston, Mass; Halifax, Nova Scoti; and St. Martin and St. John’s, New Brunswick.
