The Mary Blount Chapter NSDAR donated “A Collection of Blount County Wills with Transcriptions - 1898-1899” to the Blount County Library. The book, donated in memory of chapter member Isabel Ellis, provides essential genealogical information for the critical 1881-1899 period for which limited census records exist. The chapter received 1st place in the state for the book as well as well as an Outstanding Achievement Award for abstracting wills for the years 1880-1900.
