  • Andrew Goodman qualified for the Spring 2010 Dean’s Honor Roll at the Art Institute of Tennessee. He completed 12 hours with a GPA of 3.9 and is majoring in graphic design. Goodman is a 2009 graduate of Maryville High School and is the son of Lisa Gibson of Maryville.

  • President of the Maryville Lions Club Bob Hopfe, right, presents a Certificate of Appreciation to Past District Governor Jim McFarland for conducting the installation of the 2010-2011 Club Officers.
  • Meredith Liemohn, as an alumnae of Wartburg College (Iowa) choir, was invited to sing in Carnegie Hall in New York City. She, along with 217 others from 13 choirs, rehearsed for two days with famed English composer John Rutter and sang his “Requiem” under his direction.
  • Scotty and Christy Spitler stopped by the Blount Today office to visit Scoop, who looks like he’s ready for a nap.
