State President Charlotte Miller was named Dame of the Year and elected Honorary State President.   • Several local members of the Daughters of the American Colonists attended the 79th State Assembly in Chattanooga.   • The Tuckaleechee Garden Club and Blount County Master Gardeners spent several hours cleaning and pruning on the Townsend Riverwalk. The group is pictured in front of part of the over 750 daffodils previously planted in honor of the 75th Anniversary of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Riverwalk is a collaboration of the Tuckaleechee Garden Club and the City of Townsend.
