  • The Monat Family enjoyed a day of snowmobiling in West Yellowstone Wyoming during spring break. They are pictured here on the Continental Divide Trail. The Monat’s were visiting their friends who moved to Bozeman Montana from Maryville.

  • Blount County’s “East Tennessee Air” girls basketball team proudly displays their first championship hardware. They were undefeated in the YBOA Tennessee Mountain Jam Tournament at Carson Newman College in March.
  • Eli and Alex Walker enjoy an Easter egg hunt at Broadway United Methodist Church PDO.
  • Olivia Hill won “The Cutest Baby Face Contest” recently. All the contestants raised money for points and all proceeds went to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Olivia went on to win the Grand Prize.

  • Evan Howell proudly shows off his William Blount Wrestling “Rookie of the Year” award.
  • 13 year old Walter “Lightfoot” Williamson shot his first turkey on a youth hunt. The turkey weighed in at 25.5 pounds and had a 10.5” beard.
  • Several members of the local chapter of the Colonial Dames Seventeenth Century, the Captain Thomas Carter Chapter, attended and hosted the 54th State Convention at the Airport Hilton in Alcoa.
