Relay for Life 2009

  • Jeff Long gives son Nick Long a hug after Nick was recognized as the scholarship winner of the Relay for Life Survivor scholarship. Nick has been awarded the scholarship for four years and is in his last year at the University of Tennessee. He is a graduate of Heritage High School.

  • Good food was plentiful at the Relay for Life fundraiser.   • The Womanless Beauty Review brought the house down as midnight neared at the Relay for Life. The contest brought in $5,000 for the Relay teams. The finalists were, from left, Paten Sweeny (front) and Miciah Clay for Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, third place; Geoff Hamm for John Sevier Elementary, second place; Charles Ashworth for East Tennessee Medical, winner; Xavier Satterfield for Eden Salon, fourth place; and Chris Cantrell for Overton, fifth place.

  • Brian Gamble with Thompson Carr Auctions in Sevierville helped out with the Relay for Life auction.
  • They called themselves “Jimbo’s Angels” and finished just out of the running in the Womanless Beauty Review.
