  • Randy Royse paints at the Springbrook Park Pavilion during Arts in the Park, which offered free art instruction and materials to over 125 children and adults. FAB is offering a 6-week oil painting classes for adults this fall.
  • Samantha Trammel creates a bead pony at Springbrook Park Pavilion during the event last month. Katie Kinney, president of FAB, said many of the fall art classes offered at FAB are ideal for teenagers.
  • Ashten Royse makes a clay dinosaur with Elaine O’Sullivan at the annual event sponsored by FAB. The “Kids N’ Klay” pottery classes are being offered at FAB, 106 Broadway Ave., on Tuesdays for beginners and advanced classes meet on Thursdays for ages 7-13.
  • Karen Brackett demonstrates portrait drawing with her subject, Sarah Miller. Brackett was one of many art instructors who volunteered their time for Arts in the Park; which was free to participants.
  • Jackson and Houston Whedbee play a water balloon toss game at Springbrook Park. Volunteer students from the art department at Maryville College led the games for Arts in the Park.
  • Shirley Rupert and Meaa Dehart work on tissue art. Youthful Expressions Studio (YES) donated both the tissue art and marble-roll art projects. YES is offering art classes through FAB for children this fall.
  • Malia Zepeda enjoys a snow cone while creating marble art. Children also enjoyed hotdogs and games during the event. The next Arts in the Park event is slated for August of 2011.
