Fairpark Healthcare Center hosted and authentic Luau to honor their volunteers during National Volunteer Appreciation Week. Over eighty volunteers were in attendance, ranging in age from 10 to 90. Activities director Cheryl Murr and the staff provided original luau music along with limbo games and hula lessons for the men as part of the entertainment. Each volunteer was presented with an original coconut cup straight from the island of Oahu and Hawaiian Mauna Loa macadamia nuts. Door prizes were drawn throughout the evening before everyone had to say “Aloha.”
