The Elizabeth Paxton Houston Society Children of the American Revolution, sponsored by the Mary Blount DAR, attended the 57th Annual State Conference in March at Montgomery Bell State Park near Nashville. The Society won several awards, including that of one of the three top Societies in the state. Society President Cheyenne Miller was elected State Second Vice President for 2011-2012, and Charlotte J. Miller was elected Senior Second Vice President. Society vice president Dylan Moya’s essay on the US Flag won recognition. In the National Chaplain contest, Amber and Austin Hall were recognized for the prayers submitted.
