Several local members of the Thomas Carter Chapter, Colonial Dames 17th Century attended the 55th State Conference in Chattanooga on March 4, 2011. State President Charlotte Miller was named Dame of the Year and elected Honorary State President. Shirley Hall was elected State Librarian and Lynda Williams elected State Corresponding Secretary for 2011-2013.
