On August 7 in conjunction with the annual Stephens Family Reunion, the Capt. W. Y. C. Hannum Chapter 1881 United Daughters of the Confederacy assisted by the Savage Stewart Camp 522 from Piedmont, Ala., and the Capt. John Rayburn Camp 452 from Marshall County, Ala., Sons of the Confederate Veterans presented a Confederate Grave Marker Dedication Ceremony to commemorate the life and service of Confederate Veteran Elijah Bluford Stephens, 5th Sgt. Alabama Cavalry Co.
