The softball teams at Maryville Little League staged a real coup at the Tennessee District 6 championships two weeks ago. For the first time anyone associated with the league can remember, Maryville claimed all five district crowns in softball, securing state tournament berths for its All-Stars teams from the 7-8-year-olds to the 15-16-year-olds at the Senior League level. Maryville does not field a Big League division, the only state tournament for which it did not qualify in softball.
