Pellissippi State Community College's Sixth Annual Swing Big for Students Golf Tournament played host to 39 teams, bettering last year's turnout by nine. The event is a fundraiser sponsored by the Pellissippi State Foundation. This year, $1,000 of the proceeds is being awarded to the recipient of the new Swing Big for Students Scholarship, designated for a Pellissippi State student in exercise science or sport management. The morning shotgun winning team was fielded by Suntrust. Team members, in alphabetical order: Brian Bailey, Eric Bailey, Kevin Walsh, Bob Wrather.
