The annual Girl Scout Raft Race took place recently on Hiwassee River in Reliance, Tenn. Girl Scouts from throughout the area worked with their troops to build rafts, and then competed by floating and paddling down the river. Pictured here are the purple and yellow teams from Girl Scout Cadette troop 20905. They won the Girl Scout Skills award for their rafts. Troop members who participated are Meagan Jamison, Darya Meredith, Brittany F, Jessie Mitchell, Becca Alfara, Kori Rhyne, Brianna Brown, Angela Dominessey, Michaela Akins, Krista Murphy and Destany Struth.
