Durwood Swanson was recognized at the Lincoln Day Dinner for his service to his country. Swanson was 18 years old in 1939 when he enlisted in the Army Air Crops. He is a survivor of Pearl Harbor and has written a book, “Pearl Harbor: The Life of a Country Boy in Service in World War II.”
