The Captain W.Y.C Hannum #1881 UDC chapter and the General James Longstreet #954 Chapter CofC participated in the Confederate Decoration Day ceremonies at Bethel Cemetery in Knoxville on June 6. Bethel Cemetery is the burial site of over 1500 CSA soldiers, mostly in unmarked graves, as well as about 50 Union soldiers who were killed or died in the Knoxville area during the Civil War.
