The Mary Blount Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution conducted a Grave Marking and Memorial Service for member Linda Chandley Dunford, a descendant of John Sevier, on Oct. 11 at Mt. Bethel Christian Church Cemetery in Limestone. The DAR, founded on Oct. 11, 1890, commemorated the 119th Anniversary of the founding by this special service. Joining the DAR at the service were members of the Daughters of Indian Wars and the Daughters of 1812, lineage societies to which Linda also belonged. DAR members in attendance were, from left, Martha Cummings, Mary Nell Clevenger, Carolyn Templeton, Debra Wilson, Linda Lee, Millie Peters, Linda’s daughter Jo D. Haag, Linda’s niece Gail White, Pat Reilly, Linda’s sister Betty Porter, Patsy Ellis, Lynda Williams and Charlotte Miller.
