The Arts.alive gallery recently held a Children’s Art Show at the studio on Church Avenue with students from Maryville Children’s Academy on Middlesettlements Road.
Youngsters from 2 through pre-kindergarten displayed art for everyone to enjoy. Arts.alive gallery owner Lyda Plemmons juried the work and was impressed with what she saw. “I thought it was unusual for a children’s daycare to put so much emphasis on art as they do.”
In the Toddler’s division, Walker Larue was first, Benjamin Collins second and Maggie Carpenter third. In the Older 2s/Younger 3s division, Savannah Mills was first, Ethan Elder second and Abbie Hopkins third.
