She is a board member of the Foothills Land Conservancy, a member of the Tennessee Environmental Education Association and a volunteer for the Great Smoky Mountains Institute. She was named East Tennessee Environmental Administrator of the Year in 2006. Jeanie enjoys hiking and camping, gardening, knitting and traditional music.
