Larry Kenneth Ledbetter

Larry Kenneth “Kenny Marcel” Ledbetter, age 65, of Maryville, went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on Saturday evening, June 25, 2011, surrounded by family and friends at the family home. He was well known for his racing and mechanical abilities. He was inducted into the Smoky Mountain Raceway Hall of Fame in 2010. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his son, Roy Lee Ledbetter; parents, Ada and Roy E. Ledbetter; brothers, Raymond, Arvil, Houston, and Harold Ledbetter; and sister, Wilma Chapman. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Ledbetter; daughter and son-in-law, Sue Ann and Kenny Christopher; sons, Jimmy and Larry Ledbetter; grandchildren, Chelsie, Cory, and Steven Ledbetter; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Lucille Ledbetter, James and Doris Ledbetter, Donald and Margaret Ledbetter, and Darrell and Shirley Ledbetter. He also leaves behind a large family and many friends. Funeral service will be held 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2011, at Oakland Baptist Church, Rev. Rex Everett officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery for the graveside service and interment.
