James Earl Nuchols, age 68, of Englewood, formerly of Maryville, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the family home. He was of the Baptist Faith, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during Vietnam, and he was a member of the George Washing Masonic Lodge #181 F & AM. He was a great husband, father and best friend. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Nora Nuchols; brother, Tommy Nuchols; and sisters, Helen Nichols, and Mary Lee McCulloch. Survivors include his wife, Alice Nuchols; sons, Jim Nuchols, son and daughter in law, Jeff and Robin Nuchols; daughter, Jody Leach and special friend, Don Terry; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sisters, sisters and brothers in law, Ruth and Harold Mitchell, Katherine Flanagin, Eva Hatcher, and Barbara and Gary Bridges; brother and sister in law, Jerry and Tammy Devine; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Masonic service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, with funeral service to follow with Rev. Joe Walker and Mr. Chris Longmars officiating. Graveside service and interment 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Old Piney Baptist Church Cemetery.
