Terry David Poplin

Terry David Poplin, age 52 of Maryville, passed away Thursday August 4, 2011. He was employed by Lawler-Wood as a maintenance technician. His stress reliever was his motorcycle. He loved his motorcycle and his friends. He had his father’s winning smile. He had excellent work ethics as told by his neighbors. He was an avid fisherman, drag racer, and boating. He was a very safe motorcycle operator. His life was ended far too early due to a tragic accident doing the thing he loved the most. He is preceded in death by parents, John H. and Edna K. Poplin; brother, Billy Joe Poplin; infant niece, Christina Poplin. He is survived by former wife, Saundra Poplin; step-son, Joey Headrick; sisters and brothers in law, Mildred and Martin E. Cagle, Betty and John W. Spargo, Susan Poplin; brothers and sisters in law, Billy Joe Poplin Jr., James E. and Barbara Poplin; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Ross Cagle, Donald Ellis, Ted Johnson; very special friend, Kathy McMillian. The funeral service will be held 8:00 PM Monday August 8, 2011 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Scott Cagle officiating. The graveside and interment service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
