Jimmy Martin, 60, of Maryville passed away Friday October 8, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was employed by Odom’s Construction Company. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Elmer and Myrtle Maples Martin; Brothers: Bobby Gibson, and Billy and Mike Martin. He is survived by his Wife of 36 years: Darlene Martin; Daughter: Tricia Martin Majors; Grandchildren: Dylan and Baylee Majors all of Maryville; Brothers and Sister-in-law: Lee and Amber Martin of Friendsville, and Howard and Helen Martin of Maryville; Sisters: Lois and Ralph Christopher of Maryville, and Mary Ann Sharp of Chattanooga; several loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Blount Memorial Hospital CCU Unit, Nurses on 2 East and in the ER, Rural Metro, and Blount County Deputies: Ron Runion, Brian Ailey, and Tim Berger. Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Saturday October 9, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. J.D. Nuchols and Brother Bob Beaty officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45 P.M. at Memorial Funeral Home to proceed to Russell Family Cemetery on Mt. Tabor Rd. for a 2:30 P.M. graveside service.
