Fred Monroe Anderson

Fred Monroe Anderson age 96, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010 at home. He was a member of Four Mile Baptist Church, retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company after 39 years of service. He was also a member of the 25 year club. He was a avid fisherman and loved the outdoors and gardening. He loved visiting with old friends and buddies and loved ones, remembering old times, telling stories that will be remembered by everyone that knew him. The precious memories left behind will always be with us. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Etta Fields Anderson; son, Rex Monroe Anderson; brother, William (Bill) R. Anderson Sr.; sisters, Cora Best and Loucaster Stroud Tate.
Survived by grandson, Bobby Glenn Monroe Anderson wife, Christy; great grandson, Michael Anderson; great granddaughter, Madeleine Anderson; step grandson, Wesley Fortner; daughter in law, Shelia Fortner; special friends and caregivers, Barbara and Harvey Isibill; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends and loved ones.

Funeral service 7:00 PM Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Charles Huskey officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 AM Friday at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery for the graveside and interment service.
