Mayford Ray Nichols

Mayford Ray Nichols, age 71, of Maryville, died Monday, June 7, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital.

He was of the Baptist faith and described as an all around good guy and loving father.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Edith Nichols; mother-in-law, Ms. Eula Everett; brothers, J.R. and Joe Nichols; sister, Ivadean Nichols; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Curtis & Jack Everett; nephew ‘Cotton’ Nichols; niece, Kristian Everett.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Faye Nichols; daughter, Brandy Nichols; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Derek Smith; stepdaughter, Brittany Fuller and fiancé, Jered Smith.; 5 grandchildren; sister, Ruth Curtis; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Dave Cruse; stepbrother, Richard J. Miller; nephews and nieces, Kerry Dale Everett, Jennifer Click, Missy Whitehead, Leslie Milligan, Mike & Jackie Everett, Paul and Jeff Curtis, David Swaney; several great nephews and nieces; special cousins, Jim and Billy Carroll; brothers-in-law, Joe (Sandy) Everett, Bobby (Charlotte) Everett; sisters-in-law, Patsy Everett, Brenda (Bruce) Icenhower; special in-laws, Gary and Rosemary Smith. Funeral service will be 8:00 P.M., Saturday, June 12, 2010 in the Dotson Wildwood Chapel with the Rev. Philip Helton officiating. Interment will be 9:30 A.M, Monday, June 14, 2010 at the Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
