Tommy Allen Clinton Carpenter

Tommy Allen Clinton Carpenter died December 1, 2010, at the family home. He was born May 23, 1940, in Maryville, TN. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church. He was retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company with over 25 years of service. He was an avid farmer and loved the outdoors. He also loved being with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Clinton Carpenter and Betty Elizabeth Dodd Carpenter; wife, Patricia Dianna Franklin Carpenter; sister-in-law, Sandra Elishia Carpenter; and nephew, David Best. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Dallas Stephens and Jennifer and Kevin Goodson; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Christina Carpenter; grandchildren, Aaron and Carrie Goodson and Erica Stephens; step-grandchild, Brandon Stephens; step-great-grandchild, Braylon Stephens; stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Kim and Chris Holloway and Melissa and Mark Johnson; step grandchildren, Logan and Brad Holloway and Chad Johnson; brother, James Carpenter; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and John Cannon; mother of his children, Wanda Gold; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Friday, December 3, 2010, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Dr. Dale Ellenburg officiating. Interment service will be held 12:00 PM Saturday at Grandview Cemetery, Dr. Dale Ellenburg and Rev. Kenneth Holder officiating.
