Maryville College sophomore Mikee Moore was named the Great South Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week ending March 20. For Moore, the selection is his first of the season, joining Scots Cory Kopec and Myles Cordell as previous winners of the award this spring.

Moore earned his player of the week selection for his three-game performance at the Southeast Ohio Invitational over spring break, going 7-for-12 (.583) at the plate with six runs scored with a double and a run driven in. The Scot recorded an on-base percentage of .667 with a pair of walks and was also a perfect 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts.

The Maryville outfielder’s highlight came when he concluded tournament with a 4-for-5 day against Muskingum, scoring three runs.

Moore currently ranks fourth in the Great South in hitting with a .355 average, with Kopec (.425) second. The Scots (17-7) are second in the latest league standings behind leader Covenant (15-6), with Huntingdon (15-8), LaGrange (16-10) and Piedmont (16-11) filling out the ranks.

Maryville plays host to the Great South Athletic Conference Tournament April 29-May 1 at Scotland Yard.
