President Ronald Reagan would have been 100 years old on Feb. 11, 2011, and the Blount County Republicans are honoring the anniversary by naming their annual dinner in Reagan’s honor this year.
The Blount County Republican Party will hold a Reagan Commemorative Dinner in lieu of its usual Lincoln Day Dinner in honor of the nation’s 40th President.
The dinner will be Thursday, April 7, at William Blount High School.
Keynote speaker will be James Bopp Jr., Republican National committeeman from Indiana and RNC Midwestern Regional vice chairman. Aside from his extensive background in national Republican politics, Bopp also boasts a law degree from the University of Florida and specializes in campaign finance and election law and biomedical ethics.
The dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 each. To purchase tickets, contact Blount GOP Chairman Susan Mills via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at 865-387-9811. Early reservation is strongly encouraged.
