Foothills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship welcomes ministry consultant

Foothills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, a liberal faith community in Maryville, is pleased to welcome Rev. William “Billy” Newton as ministry consultant.

Rev. Newton is a experienced ordained Presbyterian minister with experience in higher education. His greatest strengths and interests are in building personal and community-based connections between faith, service, learning, and social justice. Rev. Newton has an undergraduate degree from Rhodes College in psychology and a doctor of ministry from Colombia Theological Seminary. He served as Chaplain and Director of Community Service at Rhodes College and Executive Director of the Center for Strong Communities at Maryville College.

As ministry consultant, Rev. Newton will be leading worship one service a month at Foothills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and will support leadership as they seek to find a consulting minister for the congregation.

Services are every Sunday at the Everett Senior Center, 702 Burchfield St., in Maryville. Faith development starts at 9:30 a.m., followed by coffee fellowship at 10:30 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. All are welcome and invited to attend services.
