Teresa Tipton was named the Circuit Court Clerk’s Employee of the Year for 2010 at an Employee Appreciation Breakfast held at the Justice Center on Wednesday, Feb. 16.
Tipton has been an employee of the Circuit Court Clerk’s office for over 6 years. In her nomination, Tipton was described as “always has a smile, a willing, helpful and sweet spirit to all that she comes in contact with. She is always ready to help other employees and is very good to offer helpful suggestions. She is our silent hero of the year.”
Tipton said she was very honored and surprised to receive the award.
“I would like to thank (County Court Clerk Tom Hatcher) and all the supervisors for creating such a great work environment. Words cannot express how much I appreciate all of my co-workers for all the hard work that they do also.”
Nominations for Employee of the Year are accepted by an administrative committee from fellow employees. The committee meets and narrows the nominations down, and Hatcher makes the final decision. Tipton was given a plaque and certificate. Her name was added to a plaque outside the Circuit Court Clerk’s office with the names of previous recipients.
