The Beach at Court South will go for a world record for the largest AquaZumba class in the world of Saturday, June 18.

National Fitness Center and Court South will attempt to set a Guinness Book of World Record for the largest AquaZumba class ever held. On June 18 from noon to 2 p.m. at Court South Beach, participants can not only join in breaking a world record, but also be entered in a drawing to win Taylor Swift tickets.

Candice McQueen, marketing director for National Fitness Center and Court South, said the Zumba Fitness Program has become the most popular group fitness class in the nation. AquaZumba is a newly launched program that combines the Zumba fitness dance moves with water aerobics.

Admission for the event is $10 and proceeds benefit East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. The event is open to non-members. The first 100 people will receive a T-shirt. McQueen said families are encouraged to participate in the record-breaking fitness class, then enjoy the rest of the afternoon at The Beach. The venue offers 4 sand volleyball courts, a play fountain and the largest outdoor pool in the Southeast. The Beach is located behind Court South, 2934 Alcoa Hwy..
