The Relay for Life Spirit Day was a festive occasion for Blount Memorial Hospital employees, their families and folks in the community.
The Blount Memorial Band of Blues Relay for Life team collected a total of $5,280 on Spirit Day.
Activities included coffee and pastries from 8 to 9:30 a.m.; kettle corn, funnel cakes, fresh squeezed lemonade, hamburgers and hotdogs served by administrators and department heads; a silent auction; a cutest pet contest; a cookbook sale and a “Guess the Candy” count. There was also an opportunity for one employee to win a prime parking spot for the month of December of 2011.
