Sources confirmed to Blount Today Thursday afternoon that former Heritage High School baseball coach Robbie Bennett is returning to the position this fall and will also serve as the school’s new athletics director and assistant principal.
Bennett resigned as the Mountaineer coach at the close of the 2011 season. The Blount County School Board is expected to vote on the change at its monthly meeting Thursday evening.
