Tammy Mouron is Blount Memorial Hospital’s July employee of the month.
A 26-year employee of the hospital, Mouron works as a radiology tech in the gastroenterology (GI) lab.
Her supervisor says, “Tammy is well-liked and respected by her co-workers and the physicians. Her personality is one that makes everyone feel comfortable in the workplace. She is a vital part of our staff, is efficient and plans what needs to be done next. She is kind and considerate to patients and staff alike, and patients love her.”
When asked what she likes best about her job, Mouron says, “I am always learning to use new equipment, and seeing new and different pathologies. It’s never boring.” Outside of work, Mouron enjoys volunteering at Vonore Baptist Church’s clothes closet, participating on medical mission teams, waterskiing and annually attending the Country Music Association’s Festival in Nashville with her mom and sisters.
One thing she says people might not know about her is, “I am a direct descendent of Daniel Boone, ‘Wild Bill’ Cody and Cherokee Indian Princess Nancee Ward, so you could say I’m part Cherokee, part frontiersman and part outlaw.”
