Leadership Blount strengthens our community by educating and encouraging current and potential leaders for active, life-long community service. Class members pay a fee to participate, but the program depends heavily on the support of the Leadership Blount Strategic Partners, which are Aubrey’s, Maryville College and the Alcoa Foundation. Also contributing to the training program that fosters community involvement are the Partnership Sponsors of Alcoa, Inc.; Blount Memorial Hospital and Impact Associates, Inc.; and Leadership Sponsor Foothills Bank & Trust.
Applications are reviewed by a Leadership Blount community committee each year to find the 36 men and women who make up the new class.
Following are the members of the Class of 2012. The class will be introduced to alumni and each other at an opening reception and fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, at Smithview Pavilion. The Opening Reception is Leadership Blount’s major fundraising event and will feature a live auction by Alley Auction Company, a “Heads or Tails” game and a Spirits Wall.
