Students who wish to apply for admission to the fall 2011 Nursing program at Pellissippi State Community College have two key deadlines to meet before the end of January.
New applicants must register for the Kaplan Nursing Entrance Exam by Jan. 29 and take the exam no later than Jan. 31. There are only 12 examination spots available on Jan. 31.
Nursing applications also must be submitted by the deadline of Jan. 31. Admission to Pellissippi State is required before applying to the Nursing program.
The entrance exam is offered at the Pellissippi State Testing Center. The center is located in Room 122 of the Educational Resources Center on the Pellissippi Campus, 10915 Hardin Valley Road.
Registration or cancellation must be done at least 48 hours prior to the test, and those taking the exam must arrive 20 minutes early to the testing site. Those arriving late will not be allowed to test. Individuals must present a valid photo ID and should bring at least two No. 2 pencils. Calculators are not allowed. No cell phones, personal items or children are allowed in the testing area.
Dates and times for the Kaplan Nursing Entrance Exam are as follows:
Mondays, Jan. 24 and 31—9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Tuesdays, Jan. 18 and 25—10 a.m.-1 p.m. or 3-6 p.m.
Wednesdays, Jan. 19 and 26—10 a.m.-1 p.m. or 3-6 p.m.
Thursdays, Jan. 20 and 27—9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Fridays, Jan. 21 and 28—9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Saturdays, Jan. 22 and 29—9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
