Johns wins letter jacket through Blount Today Sports Radio

Brandon Johns became the recipient of the fourth letter jacket giveaway from Pokey’s and Sports on Dec. 9. Pokey’s and Sports through Blount Today and Blount Today Sports Radio have held on-air and online contest through football season since 2007.

Pokey’s and Sports owner Andy Tinker said, “We are always excited to be apart of this contest and give back to the student athletes of Blount County. We started these four years ago, and it has been a lot of fun fitting the winners with their new jackets.”

Blount Today Sports Radio, through its underwriters and volunteers, has given away over $35,000 in prizes during the four years on the air. “We began the giveaways to help promote our broadcast because we weren’t sure anyone would tune in and listen.” Millsaps said with a laugh, “It has really brought a lot to the broadcasts and have helped us to become the home for high school football in Blount County. We really appreciate our listeners and all the underwriters that help fund the cost of the programming.”
