The fourth, fifth and sixth grade classes at Maryville Christian School brought history to life with their Living History Museum.

Parents and teachers at Maryville Christian School recently got to see five U.S. presidents, four queens, dictators, rulers, inventors, scientists, pioneers and even an astronaut made a rare appearance.

On Dec. 15, there were 79 total students who dressed up in front of their history tri-fold project boards in the gym as parents, grandparents, students and other guests walked through the museum in the gym at the school on Morganton Road.

The students had pre-recorded their oral projects onto iPods and CD’s so the museum guests could listen to the historical figures come to life.

The fourth grade presented U.S. figures such as Wyatt Earp, Johnny Appleseed and Thomas Edison. The fifth grade portrayed World figures such as Stalin, Caesar and Joan of Arc. Lastly the sixth graders presented Tennessee historical heroes such as Sam Houston, Adm. David Farragut and President Andrew Jackson.
