Blount and Sevier lawmakers host Inaugural Reception in Nashville for locals

State Senator Doug Overbey (R-Maryville), and Representatives Art Swann (R-Maryville), Richard Montgomery (R-Sevierville) and Bob Ramsey (R-Maryville) today announced they will host a reception at the Opryland Hotel to celebrate the inauguration of Governor-elect Bill Haslam. The event will be held on Saturday, Jan. 15, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Presidential Suite #55000 at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville.

“We cordially invite everyone from Sevier and Blount Counties attending Governor-elect Bill Haslam’s inauguration to come by for fellowship and refreshments,” said Senator Overbey. “We look forward to seeing and visiting our friends and constituents.”

The inauguration ceremony is set for Saturday, Jan. 15, at 11 a.m. on the Legislative Plaza. A parade will follow the event with several festivities planned for Saturday evening. Anyone wanting more information regarding the inaugural events can visit www.billhaslam.org.

“We hope that many citizens will join us in welcoming our new governor,” added Rep. Montgomery. “This will be a memorable event in our state’s history.”
